MUSICAL TRAINING:
- Diploma in Piano, Centro Escolar Conservatory of Music,
Manila, Philippines
- Principal teacher: Prof. Leoncia Conchu, to whom
Bragin feels indebted for whatever technical facilty she continues to have
despite her ventures into the field of chemical education.
- Degree obtained at age of 16. Bragin was allowed to take
college level music courses while a high school student.
By the time she graduated from high school at age 15, she
had only one year's worth of college level music courses
to complete in order to earn her degree.
- Graduation recital: an all-Chopin recital
consisting of the 24 Preludes; Nocturne in B-flat minor,
Op. 9, No.1; Etude in F minor, Op. 10, No. 9; Waltz in A
flat, Op. 34, No. 1; Mazurka in G sharp minor, Op. 33,
No. 1; Polonaise in A flat, Op. 53; and the Concerto No.
1 in E minor with full orchestra accompaniment.

Alternées), Prokofiev's Sonata No. 3, Op. 28 in A
minor. (Note: Although Bragin's main interest was in piano
performance, the university did not have a graduate level
performance program at the time she was at the university;
hence, her graduate degree in music education.)

the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts, major in Piano Performance,
University of Southern California, Los Angeles
- Principal teachers: Professors John Crown,

due to temporary relocation to Northern California,
the arrival of two children and her subsequent involvement

decision not to complete the degree.)
