AT THE 2002 VAN CLIBURN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR OUTSTANDING AMATEURS

(Odi was one of Vicki's first set of chemistry students at Pasadena City College. Odi and his family
were attending the semifinal round not realizing that Vicki was a competitor and, in fact, a semifinalist.
It was not until Vicki was on stage that he realized it was indeed his former chemistry professor.
Vicki never made a point of talking to her students about her "other life" in music.
